About Carl
An explorer and adventurer at heart, I started taking photographs in 1994 while backpacking through South East Asia and the UK.
I have been photographing professionally since 2009, and my three fields of interest are no accident. Behind each one sits a combination of credentials:
- A PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer with 30+ years of diving experience: 20 years as an instructor with seven instructor specialties, including Digital Underwater Photography, behind the underwater portfolios.
- A degree-qualified engineer with 30+ years experience providing technical and business solutions in telecommunications, wireless, cellular, satellite, mobile radio, radio frequency (RF), electronics and computer systems behind the technology imagery.
- Raised on small family farms in New Zealand and Australia, with 12+ years experience photographing the land, crops, livestock, and farm infrastructure across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
