Acrylic prints will last decades in your home. To maintain your acrylic prints:
1. Do not use chemicals and solvents. Do not use products like Windex which can damage the acrylic. Too much water can easily damage your print by leaving behind messy streaks.
2. Always use a very soft dry lint-free cotton cloth or compressed air in a can (the type used for cleaning keyboards). Dust your print gently and regularly to keep your image looking its best.
3. Avoid using too much pressure. (Note: Micro-fiber cloths can cause tiny scratches when used with pressure.)
4. Hang your prints in a low moisture/low humidity location. Do not hang your print in direct sunlight. Avoid placing your acrylic photo block face down on any surface that may scratch it.
Wall Art acrylic prints are manufactured with 6mm plexiglass acrylic and a 3mm composite backing…so the actual print thickness is 9mm.
The concealed aluminium hanging rails on the back are 12mm wide… this is how far the print is offset from the wall.
The total width of the print including the hanging rails is 3+6+12 = 21mm.
