Background
With a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics and Computer Systems – Hons), I started taking photographs in 1994 on a trip through South East Asia and the UK.
South East Asia was also my introduction to scuba diving, and whilst traveling through the US in 1997/1998 , I become a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer. I hold Instructor speciality ratings for :- Digital Underwater Photography, Enriched Air, Underwater Navigation, Underwater Naturalist, Search and Recovery, Wreck and Deep Diving.
My interest in photography took a step forward in 2003 with the purchase of a Canon EOS 33 film SLR.
With my technical background, the introduction of digital photography was a major turning point, and I progressed to the Canon 20D DSLR in 2005, followed by other Canon cameras since.
In my spare time, I am also a technology consultant, trainer, technical writer, ICT tester and webmaster.
